Glastonbury 2025: Watch The 1975 deliver a blistering rendition of ‘Love It If We Made It’
The 1975 headlined the all-important Glastonbury Pyramid Stage and came swinging with their powerful hit, ‘Love It If We Made It’.
At around quarter past ten on Friday night, the indie-pop band took to the Pyramid Stage to deliver a spectacle that reportedly cost them four times more than the fee they received. The four-piece didn’t come to mess around; as their only show in 2025, they were desperate to make it count.
No song better encapsulates this desire for greatness than the punchy, snarky hit ‘Love It If We Made It‘. As frontman Matty Healy broke out into the shocking first words, “We’re fucking in a car, shooting heroin,” the ginormous crowd seemed to be with him for the trip. It was a swing now, assess the damage later, situation.
Clad in a classic leather jacket and white T-shirt combination, Matty Healy swanned around the stage sipping a Guinness. Meanwhile, the rest of the band cut relaxed figures despite Healy repeatedly claiming to be very nervous. “For the first time in my life, I don’t know what to say,” he said to cheers.
This isn’t the band’s first time at the Festival. The 1975 first played Glastonbury on the Pyramid Stage in 2014 and returned only two years later for a performance on the Other Stage in 2016. Healy once stated they would not return unless they were booked for a headline set. Almost a decade after their last appearance, the band has finally made it.
The 1975 took to the stage following sets throughout the day by Biffy Clyro, Alanis Morissette, and a secret set which turned out to be Lewis Capaldi. Other acts performing at Glastonbury include Loyle Carner, Wet Leg, Gracie Abrams, Inhaler, Four Tet and many more.
