Following another huge day at Glastonbury Festival on June 28th, as Neil Young made his long-awaited return to Worthy Farm and Charli XCX brought Brat to The Other Stage, it’s now time for the third and final day of the festival until 2027.

Today, Rod Stewart graced the Pyramid Stage to play the legends slot, followed by performances from Nile Rodgers and Noah Kahan before Olivia Rodrigo headlines Glastonbury for the first time.

Joe Taysom

See you in 2027!

Well, that’s Glastonbury wrapped up for another year, and now, we have to wait until 2027 for music to return to Worthy Farm. It’s been a historic festival, which Olivia Rodrigo closed off with aplomb and showed why she was trusted to close Glastonbury.

It’s been a monumental three days of music, but it’s also been about more than the bands playing, as the musical community has (largely) rallied together to stand up for the right of freedom of expression and the people of Palestine.

There’s been no-shows, there’s been tears, and plentiful of unforgettable moments that have helped make this a Glastonbury to remember.

Thanks for joining Far Out for our coverage.

Olivia Rodrigo brings set to a close with ‘Get Him Back’

Although the chorus played off a backing track to allow Rodrigo to make full use of the megaphone, ‘Get Him Back’ is sending her fans back to their tents with a smile, and the vengeful track ends her Glastonbury set with the crowd eating out of the palm of her hands like they have been doing all evening.

To top things off, fireworks were set off on the Pyramid Stage before Rodrigo soaked in the moment and marvelled at the sheer size of the crowd in front of her.

Rodrigo also earnestly said to the crowd: “To say this is a dream come true is an understatement, I’m so grateful. Thank you.”

After joining in temporarily on drums, Rodrigo gave the drumsticks to fans in the crowd, then departed the stage to allow her band to deliver the final hurrah of the night.

Olivia Rodrigo brings ‘Good 4 U’ to Glastonbury

Olivia Rodrigo saved ‘Good 4 U’ until the encore for a reason, and unsurprisingly, it’s received a huge reaction over at the Pyramid Stage as pandemonium breaks out. Rodrigo is completely in her element as 80,000 watch on and inflatable balls are thrown across the crowd.

The Worthy Farm faithful are revelling in the pop-punk tones of Rodrigo like it’s 2004 all over again.

Welcome back to the rock show

Olivia Rodrigo is back on stage, wearing Union Jack shorts, and delivering a ferocious rendition of ‘Brutal’. While some might disregard her as a pop star, Rodrigo is more than capable of rocking and rolling, too, as she’s displaying her on the Pyramid Stage.

Time for an encore?

Olivia Rodrigo has now left the stage, but surely, she’ll be coming back shortly to complete her triumphant set and complete her victory lap at Worthy Farm.

‘Deja Vu’ dazzles Glastonbury

After serving up ‘Jealousy, Jealousy’, Olivia Rodrigo is firmly in her groove with ‘Deja Vu’ with the help of around 80,000 backing singers, and she’s feeding off the energy that is being supplied in abundance by the adoring crowd.

That was a special moment indeed.

The Maccabees show solidarity with Palestine

Towards the end of their set, The Maccabees guitarist Felix White used his platform to join the many artists who had expressed solidarity with Palestine at Glastonbury, saying from the heart, “We’re thinking of the people in Palestine. We know you are as well.”

Watch Robert Smith and Olivia Rodrigo perform ‘Just Like Heaven’

Here is the moment that Robert Smith performed with Olivia Rodrigo in all of its glory.

Later, she also thanked The Cure for being her first exposure to England, which has since become a second home to the singer due to her boyfriend, who inspired her next song, ‘So American’.

Is this the moment of the festival?

The Cure’s Robert Smith and Olivia Rodrigo was a combination that was just like heaven. I expected a special guest at some point tonight, but Smith didn’t even cross my mind, and oh boy, was that a treat.

After he departed, she thanked Smith again, telling the crowd: “He is the coolest, nicest, most wonderful man ever, I’m so beyond honoured to play with him tonight, so thank you, Robert.”

Olivia Rodrigo and Robert Smith perform ‘Just Like Heaven’

Bringing out a special guest is part and parcel of the Glastonbury experience, but Robert Smith is an A-list level addition, which has made this Olivia Rodrigo headline set step up a level.

Not only did they perform ‘Friday I’m In Love’, but Smith also stuck around to delightfully duet with Rodrigo on ‘Just Like Heaven’.

Jaw-droppingly brilliant.

Olivia Rodrigo calls Robert Smith her “hero”

Before Robert Smith arrived, Rodrigo emotionally told the crowd how much the opportunity to perform alongside him meant, stating, “I’m so wildly excited for this next guest, I can’t even contain it. He is perhaps the best songwriter to come out of England, he is a Glastonbury legend, and a personal hero of mine. Would you please welcome Robert Smith?”

Olivia Rodrigo shows love for Pulp

Addressing the crowd at Worthy Farm, Rodrigo discussed her love of the festival, sharing, “Glastonbury is so much fun to go too, I was hanging out yesterday, I watched Pulp, and all these amazing bands. I just think it’s the best festival ever, so, I’m just so grateful to be here tonight for all of you.”

Rodrigo then went on to play ‘Enough For You’, which she introduced by calling it her “favourite song she’s ever written”.

Florence Welch joins The Maccabees!

The Maccabees have brought out their old friend, Florence Welch, for a special performance of ‘Dog Days Are Over’ by Florence and the Machine over on The Park Stage.

As the band moved into their encore, they welcomed Florence Welch to the stage to join in on ‘Love You Better’ before diving into a rendition of Welch’s festival banger ‘Dog Days Are Over’.

Welch, barefoot, led the crowd through a blistering rendition of her biggest hit. She thanked the audience – who wildly clapped along – for welcoming her before describing herself as a Maccabees superfan.

A Glastonbury moment this crowd won’t forget.

Olivia Rodrigo looks at ease on the Pyramid Stage

Headlining Glastonbury for the first time can be a daunting occasion that eats up artists, especially solo artists, ask SZA. However, Olivia Rodrigo, who is only 22, looks at complete ease on the Pyramid Stage, and unnerved about headlining festivals of this magnitude.

Currently, she’s got the acoustic guitar out to perform ‘Pretty Isn’t Pretty’, and many members of the crowd appear to be visibly emotional by the track, which sees Rodrigo open up about worries about her appearance.

Glastonbury is in full voice for ‘Driver’s Licence’

Olivia Rodrigo released ‘Driver’s Licence’ as her debut single at the beginning of 2021, and immediately topped the charts worldwide, making her a huge star.

Rather than save it until near the end, Rodrigo chose to play the hit early doors, and the crowd sang every last word back to her, so much so that she stopped singing to hear them.

The Prodigy dedicate set to Keith Flint

Tragically, The Prodigy’s Keith Flint passed away in 2019, and tonight marks the band’s first appearance at the festival since his passing. But, he’s still on The Other Stage in spirit, and they made sure to dedicate the set to their late brother before playing a blistering rendition of ‘Omen’.

Olivia Rodrigo brings pop-punk to the Pyramid

‘Ballad of a Homeschool Girl’ was next up for Olivia Rodrigo, who has taken a high-energy approach to start her set. It might be a Sunday evening, and many of the audience is already dreading spending hours in traffic while exiting the festival in the morning, but for the next hour or so, that anxiety can wait.

Following the lively start, Rodrigo has now switched it up to play the heartfelt ‘Vampire’ which the young crowd is lapping up.

Olivia Rodrigo has arrived on the Pyramid Stage!

The biggest 90 minutes of Olivia Rodrigo’s career so far are now underway on the Pyramid Stage as she steps up to headline Glastonbury and bring the 2025 edition to a close.

Refreshingly, Rodrigo has a full band set up, and they are treating it like a proper rock ‘n’ roll show with the ferocious opening track, ‘Obsessed.’ The crowd, which stretches back to the end of the field, are also fully wrapped up in Olivia Rodrigo fever.

Minutes away from Olivia Rodrigo’s set

The wait is almost over, and in a matter of minutes, Olivia Rodrigo will be on the Pyramid Stage to headline Glastonbury Festival for the first time. Yesterday, she was in the crowd for Pulp, which gave her a taste of the sheer magnitude of the event and an understanding of its importance.

It marks her second time at the festival, having previously played The Other Stage in 2022.

Charli XCX hits back at critics of Glastonbury set

Taking to X, Charli XCX has responded to those who have criticised her headline set on The Other Stage on June 28th. She initially wrote: “Like the idea that singing with deliberate autotune makes you a fraud or that not having a traditional band suddenly means you must not be a ‘real artist’ is like, the most boring take ever. yawn sorry just fell asleep xx”.

She continued: “But to be honest… i enjoy the discourse. imo the best art is divisive and confrontational and often evolves into truly interesting culture rather than being like kind of ok, easily understood and sort of forgettable.”

On the same note, Charli said in another post: “Really enjoying these boomer vibe comments on my glastonbury performance. it’s super fascinating to me.”

Wolf Alice show support for Palestine

On The Other Stage, Wolf Alice expressed their support for Palestine, with singer Ellie Rowsell passionately telling the crowd, “We wanna share our support for Palestine. Don’t be afraid to do that.”

They join many others who have used Glastonbury to show solidarity with Palestine, including Amyl and the Sniffers, Kneecap, The Libertines, and Inhaler.

The message came after Wolf Alice briefly took things towards guitar heaven as they broke away from their own tracks to pay homage to The White Stripes with a ‘Seven Nation Army’ riff while also dabbling with Black Sabbath, ripping through the classic ‘Iron Man’ chords.

The surprises keep coming at Noah Kahan with Brandi Carlile, who performed on the Pyramid Stage yesterday, joined the chart-topping singer-songwriter for a devastating duet of ‘You’re Gonna Go Far’.

Noah Kahan plays ‘Dial Drunk’

Noah Kahan is continuing to bring his 2022 album, Stick Season, to Glastonbury with ‘Dial Drunk’, which is going down a storm with fans. While the album was largely ignored upon release, three years later, it has changed Kahan’s life forever and taken him to the Pyramid Stage.

Before the record, his career was in an odd position after his first two albums failed to take off, then unexpectedly, Stick Season became a slow-burning hit and transformed him into a folk-pop star. Unsurprisingly, the album has dominated his set at Worthy Farm.

Noah Kahan is joined by Laufey!

Noah Kahan has called for assistance in the form of Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey. The star has joined the New England native on the Pyramid Stage for a heartfelt rendition of ‘Call Your Mom’, which is getting the crowd caught up in their emotions this Sunday evening.

While Laufey has not performed a set at Glastonbury this weekend, she does have a string of upcoming UK shows next week; therefore, it makes sense that she’s popped down to Worthy Farm and popped up with Kahan.

What time does Olivia Rodrigo perform?

Olivia Rodrigo will be taking to the stage as the final act of Glastonbury Festival this evening, taking to the stage at 21:45pm for a 90-minute performance. The 22-year-old only has two albums, Guts and Sour; therefore, the setlist should write itself, but Rodrigo has been making sure to surprise fans at recent shows.

In Dublin earlier this week, she performed a cover of Fontaines DC’s ‘I Love You’, was joined by Ed Sheeran in London at Hyde Park on Friday, and at Governors Ball in New York, David Byrne blew minds with a dazzling cameo. Surely, a big special guest awaits tonight..

Snow Patrol perform on The Other Stage

Sunday evenings at festivals are always tinged with sadness and the harsh reality that tomorrow marks returning to the real world. It’s similar to hearing the Heartbeat theme song on a Sunday night as a kid, reminding you that you have school in the morning.

To make that melancholic feeling even more intense, Snow Patrol are currently soundtracking thousands of comedowns on The Other Stage and just touched fans right in their feels with ‘Open Your Eyes’.

Watch Nile Rodgers and Chic perform ‘Le Freak’

‘Le Freak’ is one hell of a way to open a set on the Pyramid Stage, there’s no need to save the hits until the end with a Nile Rodgers set as he’s got the luxury of having so many in his back catalogue, and over the next hour, we’ll hear them at Glastonbury.

Black Country, New Road stand up for Palestine

The turmoil in Palestine has been a talking point throughout Glastonbury Festival, notably due to comments made by Bob Vylan, Kneecap, and Nadine Shah. The Libertines drummer, Gary Powell, also made a stand on the Pyramid Stage earlier today.

Now, at Woodsies, Black Country, New Road’s Tyler Hyde said:” More importantly, please don’t stop talking about the people of Gaza. The worst thing that we can do is remain silent. I’m sure we’re all on the same side but we’ve got to use our voices.”

Hyde passionately continued: “We’ve got to support people like Palestine Action, who are far from a terrorist organisation. So yeah, keep Gaza in your hearts, keep it coming out your mouth, and free Palestine.”

While Rod Stewart is hurtling towards 80, he’s moving around like somebody decades younger, and his voice is also sounding in tip-top shape compared to other veterans like John Fogerty, who performed yesterday.

Rod Stewart dedicates ‘Love Train’ to Ukraine

The tea time slot on a Sunday is always well-attended at Glastonbury, which is tough for the bands on the other stages, and this year is no different. Worthy Farm is out in full force for Rod, who has used his platform to spread a message of hope, earnestly stating, “This is lovely, I’m so excited I can hardly breathe, there’s been a lot about the Middle East recently, quite rightly so, I want to draw your attention to the Ukraine with this next song, it’s called the ‘Love Train’.”

Stewart then erupted into a rendition of ‘Love Train’, in an attempt to spread a message of joy during a time when the world is in turmoil, which does feel slightly David Brent despite being well-intended.

Who will join Rod Stewart as a secret set?

Rod Stewart, who has said he is treating the performance at Glastonbury like it is a “cup final”, has three special guests joining him on Worthy Farm. While he has not revealed who two of these guests will be, he did let it slip that his old Faces bandmate, Ronnie Wood, is set to reunite with him on the Pyramid Stage.

Other names that could feasibly work include Robbie Williams, who has a close friendship with Stewart, and appeared to suggest he was at the festival on Friday. Although Williams did then confirm he would not be performing a secret set.

Rod Stewart has arrived on the Pyramid Stage

For the first time since headlining Glastonbury in 2002, Rod Stewart is back on the Pyramid Stage and is hoping to deliver an electric 75-minute set. To begin the show, he’s performing ‘Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me)’, and moving around energetically despite being 79.

Stewart is joined on-stage by a huge band, a series of backing singers who are dressed identically and all have bleach blonde hair like Stewart himself. Addressing the crowd, Stewart said, “Enjoy yourselves ladies and gentlemen, please, music brings us together, we need music.”

What will Rod Stewart’s setlist be at Glastonbury?

Rod Stewart recently warned fans that he will have to cut several songs that he typically plays, saying to the Radio Times, “Usually I do well over two hours so there’s still a load of songs we won’t be able to do. But we’ve been working at it. I’m not gonna make any announcements between songs. I’ll do one number, shout ‘next’, and go straight into the next one.”

He also has three special guests set to join him at Worthy Farm, which will also eat into his 75-minute set.

Below is his setlist from a recent show in Lisbon.

Rod Stewart is losing money by performing at Glastonbury

After he was announced for Glastonbury, Rod Stewart quickly revealed to everybody that would listen that he was set to lose an eye-watering amount of money by playing at the festival.

On TalkSPORT last year, he revealed, “It’s going to cost me a fortune to do it – $300,0000. I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury don’t pay for that. But I don’t care if it cost me $1million, I would have done it. This is a great honour. It really is the greatest honour.”

Stewart has also recently revealed he’s set to receive £120,000 to perform, which is significantly less than the cost of putting on his show.

The Libertines hilariously celebrate Rod Stewart ahead of legends slot

During ‘The Good Old Days’, The Libertines’ Pete Doherty hilariously gave the crowd a mini-rendition of ‘D’ya Think I’m Sexy’ by Rod Stewart ahead of his performance on the Pyramid Stage later this afternoon.

It may have only been a 20-second cover, but it’s given me a desire to hear a full-blown cover of the classic by The Libertines, which I never knew I needed. Make it happen, Pete.

Sprints condemn Israel for “committing genocide”

Despite Bob Vylan and Kneecap being investigated by police following their sets yesterday, Irish post-punk band Sprints are refusing to stay away from politics during their set.

The screen behind them has already read, “Free Palestine”, “Israel is committing genocide, use your voice”, as well as the Palestinian flag.

More secret sets confirmed

It wouldn’t be Glastonbury without Fatboy Slim performing multiple times across the weekend. He already took to the decks on Friday evening for a rowdy set, and this afternoon, Norman Cook will be performing under the alias of Sunday Service at the Luna Bar at 16:00pm.

Additionally, Kate Nash will perform a secret set on the BBC Introducing stage at 20:00pm.

The Libertines attract huge crowd

Compared with Celeste, who performed on the Pyramid Stage before them, The Libertines have attracted a huge audience who have packed out the field. While this may also be due to Rod Stewart performing afterwards, there’s no denying that booking The Libertines at this time in the afternoon was an astute decision by the Eavis family.

The Libertines are here!

The Libertines have begun their set in style by rewinding the years with ‘Up The Bracket’ and ‘The Delaney’ as Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassell, and Gary Powell get the show underway.

The beautiful fizz of nostalgia is already filling the air on Worthy Farm as we voyage back to a sweat-pit in Camden in 2001.

Revisit the last time The Libertines played the Pyramid

In 2015, The Libertines performed a secret set on the Pyramid Stage after Foo Fighters were forced to cancel their show due to Dave Grohl suffering an injury. Florence and the Machine were bumped up to headline, with The Libertines filling in as the sub-headliner for a memorable Friday night on Worthy Farm.

10 years later, they are finally back on the Pyramid!

10 minutes to go until The Libertines…

The Libertines last appeared at Glastonbury Festival in 2022, when they opened up The Other Stage with an 11:30am set following a moving recorded message by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and now, they return on the Pyramid Stage.

While The Libertines used to have a reputation for chaos, don’t expect that today. The last time I saw The Libertines was the most professional performance I’ve ever seen from them, which I’m thrilled to admit that I seem to utter those words following each time I see them in recent years.

Nadine Shah delivers powerful pro-Palestine speech

Addressing the crowd at Glastonbury, Nadine Shah explained that she’s fine with having a reputation as “this kind of earnest, fucking loudmouth, outspoken women” before saying, “I just don’t like seeing people being killed.” Shah continued: “I think protest and demonstration are incredibly important, and are a basic human right.”

The singer then explained that Artists for Palestine UK have given her permission to read their open letter in support of Palestine Action, which was recently proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the UK government. Shah called Palestine Action “an incredible group” and also stressed that “she’s a pacifist and not a violent person”.

The letter begins: “Palestine Action is intervening to stop a genocide, it is acting to save life. We deplore the government’s decision to proscribe it, labelling non-violent direct action as terrorism is an abuse of language and an attack on democracy. The real threat to the life of the nation comes not of Palestine Action but from the Home Secretary’s efforts to ban it. We call on the government to withdraw its proscription of Palestine Action and to stop arming Israel.”

Shah continued: “If I read this out after July 4th, I could potentially be prosecuted for that. Thank you, Glastonbury.”

Nadine Shah performs on The Other Stage

The music is firmly underway already at Worthy Farm as another spectacular day awaits, with Nadine Shah currently performing on The Other Stage. Notably, her stage set-up included a mocked-up image of Benjamin Netanyahu, Keir Starmer, and Donald Trump laughing together on a beach while the world burns to smithereens behind them, as well as other images in support of Palestine.

Unsurprisingly, you won’t see that image on the BBC…

The verdict from Charli XCX’s headline performance

Far Out’s Lucy Harbron was in attendance for Charli XCX’s headline set on the Other Stage last night, which was a riotous affair, but, only if you’ve never seen her perform before as it was an identical performance to her set at Lido Festival earlier this month.

The review notes: “When I say exact same, I mean the exact same. It wasn’t just the same setlist, but the same track-transitioning quips are yelled out into the crowd. Charli screamed the exact same “what the fucks” and “I want to see everyone here jumping”. The camera work on the screens is exactly the same, but I guess that makes sense – there are cues to hit and a visual brand to uphold. But when the realisation hit a few songs in, when she did the exact same dance moves in the outro to ‘I Might Say Something Stupid’ that I analysed a fornight ago, unpacking how the dichotomy that is played out on Brat was brought to the stage, I realised quickly that perhaps when you’ve seen Charli once, you’ve seen Charli.”

Glastonbury organisers condemn Bob Vylan

Following their set on West Holts yesterday, which saw Bob Vylan’s frontman chant “death to the IDF” and tell those in attendance “sometimes you gotta get your message across with violence because that is the only language some people speak”, Glastonbury have condemned his comments.

The festival posted its reaction to social media on Sunday morning. The statement began, “Glastonbury Festival was created in 1970 as a place for people to come together and rejoice in music, the arts and the best of human endeavour. As a festival, we stand against all forms of war and terrorism. We will always believe in—and actively campaign for—hope, unity, peace and love.”

It continued, “With almost 4,000 performances at Glastonbury 2025, there will inevitably be artists and speakers appearing on our stages whose views we do not share, and a performer’s presence here should never be seen as a tacit endorsement of their opinions and beliefs.”

The statement then explained they “are appalled by the statements made from the West Holts stage by Bob Vylan yesterday”, adding, “Their chants very much crossed a line and we are urgently reminding everyone involved in the production of the Festival that there is no place at Glastonbury for antisemitism, hate speech or incitement to violence.”

An official investigation has also been launched by Avon and Somerset Police.

The verdict on Neil Young’s headline set

In a five-star review, Far Out’s Ben Forrest was full of praise for Young’s performance on the Pyramid Stage, writing, “Amid a backdrop of social and political turmoil, with the UK stocking up on nucelar arms, the US marching ruthlessly towards being a fascist state, and multiple genocides taking place in Palestine, Sudan, and a host of other nations around the world, Young’s defiant message of hope felt more poignant than ever. With the CND symbol planted firmly above him on the Pyramid stage, Young belted out the song during the triumphant encore, and it was echoed back to him by the tens of thousands of attendees in the crowd.”

Welcome back!

The final day of Glastonbury is now here, and due to the festival taking a fallow year in 2026, it will be the last time live music is played on Worthy Farm for two years. Therefore, lets enjoy every second of the performances today, and soak up the energy from Somerset as Rod Stewart, Olivia Rodrigo, and Wolf Alice perform.

It’s going to be a hot one!
