Glastonbury 2025: Deftones cancel huge set on The Other Stage
Deftones have reportedly pulled out of their Glastonbury Festival set on the Other Stage later today, on June 28th.
On June 24th, Deftones played Peace Hall, an open-air courtyard that can hold up to 7,000 people. After this, they played Eden Sessions on June 26th, looking to be in good health and tackling huge hits like ‘Genesis’, ‘Diamond Eyes’, and of course ‘7 Words’, with which they closed their recent set.
At Glastonbury, Deftones were set to appear on the Other Stage at 8pm until 9.30pm. Their set was to be placed between British jazz quintet Ezra Collective and before Brat icon and global pop star Charli XCX.
The news of their cancellation came via a post on X from the account ‘Secretglasto’, who began the announcement writing, “Sorry to the Deftones fans out there but we have heard they have pulled out of their set this evening.”
It continued, “We will let the festival confirm the replacement as we have conflicting info about this at the moment.”
No reason for the alleged cancellation has been given since the announcement was posted on X by the esteemed Glastonbury secret account. They have played plenty of shows this month alone, including a set in Switzerland, Italy and Germany.
Deftones are set to play Crystal Palace Park tomorrow, June 29th, and so far, the show is still set to go ahead. The Crystal Palace Park fans can still expect an alternative metal extravaganza from Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, and Frank Delgado.
Neil Young is headlining the iconic Pyramid Stage tonight, with other major acts like Raye, Charli XCX and Scissor Sisters all set to perform across the farm. Far Out are on the ground at Worthy Farm, bringing you the latest as it happens, when it happens.
Yesterday saw The 1975 play a divisive headline set, and their only show of the year, on the Pyramid Stage, while Loyle Carner performed an impressive show simultaneously.
Glastonbury are yet to confirm Deftones’ cancellation.
