Glass Animals and Arlo Parks perform ‘Tangerine’ in Radio 1’s Live Lounge
Glass Animals and Arlo Parks have teamed up for a joyous performance of ‘Tangerine’ as part of a session for BBC Radio 1’s popular Live Lounge series.
The song originally appeared on Glass Animals’ latest album Dreamland, a record which was released in August and charted at number three in the UK. While the album edition didn’t feature Parks, the two creative forces later linked up during their October ‘Live In The Internet’ live stream and, together, they premiered the brand new version of ‘Tangerine’ with the 20-year-old singer-songwriter. Following the end of the stream, they then released a studio version of the new edition of the track.
Glass Animals also performed a cover of 24kGoldn and Iann Dior‘s chart-topping single, ‘Mood’, a song which was released in July and would go on to spend four weeks at the top of the charts.
Meanwhile, Arlo Parks recently shared details of her hotly anticipated debut album which she has titled Collapsed In Sunbeamsand will be available on January 29th via Transgressive Records. Earlier this week, she released her gorgeous new single ‘Caroline’, on the track she noted: “’Caroline’ is an exercise in people watching and seeing situations unfold without context. It’s an exploration of how something once full of healthy passion can dissolve in an instant.”
Speaking about her debut LP, Arlo says: “My album is a series of vignettes and intimate portraits surrounding my adolescence and the people that shaped it. It is rooted in storytelling and nostalgia – I want it to feel both universal and hyper-specific.”
