Foo Fighters stream 2006 London Hyde Park concert online free

In a bid to bring some live music entertainment to the millions of people currently stuck in lockdown amid strict social distancing measures, Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters have released the footage from their 2006 London Hyde Park concert online free.

The show, which took place on Hyde Park in June 17, 2006, remains to this day one of the biggest and best live performances from the band in their now long and illustrious career.

The performance came while the band toured the world as part of their ‘In Your Honor’ run of shows. To coincide with the high-profile gig, Foo Fighters enjoyed support from the likes of Motörhead, Queens Of The Stone Age, Angels & Airwaves, and Juliette And The Licks in an uncompromising line-up.

While the show included all the classic Foo Fighters hits, the band also welcomed a surprise appearance by Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister to cover of Probot song ‘Shake Your Blood’.

One particular highlight came in the encore when members of Queen joined Dave Grohl and the rest for a rendition of ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Tie Your Mother Down’.

Revealing the concert footage, the band kept it brief and simply said: “Keep washing your hands. Stay home.”

Quite right. See the gig, below.
