Foo Fighters announce new album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’ and share title track
After a period of heavy teasing, Foo Fighters have officially confirmed their new album, Your Favorite Toy.
Their 12th full-length studio album, which has been teased with the riotous title track, is set for release on April 24th, 2026.
If ‘Your Favorite Toy’ is anything to go by, the new album is set to be the start of a new chapter for Foo Fighters, and Dave Grohl’s distorted vocal delivery on the recording is unlike anything he’s previously sung.
In a statement, Grohl explained how the creation of the title track was a vital moment in establishing Your Favorite Toy, sharing, “‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album.”
He elaborated, “We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”
The album also contains ‘Asking For A Friend‘, which Foo Fighters released last October to commemorate their 30th year as a band.
At the time, Grohl promised that ‘Asking For A Friend’ was “one of many songs to come”, and now, he’s come true on his commitment by confirming details of Your Favorite Toy.
Your Favourite Toy was recorded at Grohl’s home studio and was co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, engineered by Oliver Roman and mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.
Foo Fighters will be taking their new record on the road this summer across North America and Europe. Their jaunt will kick off in June 2025 at the Unity Arena in Oslo, Norway on June 10th, before the rock legends will travel to Stockholm, Warsaw, Munich and Paris.
At the end of June, Foo Fighters will arrive in the United Kingdom for two shows at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 25th and June 27th. They also have a number of festival headline dates in the calendar across the continent.
In August, it’s North America’s time to get in on the action with the dates set to begin on August 4th in Toronto at the Rogers Stadium, and conclude at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 26th. The Foo’s will then head to Australia and New Zealand at the end of 2026.
