Fatboy Slim announces three huge 2026 beach shows in Brighton

Fatboy Slim has announced three massive On The Beach dates on the pebbles of Brighton Beach on July 17th, 18th, and 19th in 2026.

Fatboy Slim, the stage name for English DJ Norman Cook, will headline the seventh edition of Big Beach Boutique. The first instalment took place in 2001 and, a year later, Fatboy Slim returned for Big Beach Boutique II, a free open-air concert that attracted a whopping 250,000. It was described at the time as the biggest event the UK has ever seen.

The iconic DJ promises to return with the same feverish energy levels for a much smaller, more intimate crowd. The event promises to be “packed from start to finish with music, hijinks, and joy, spanning from the early afternoon well into the night.”

The musician simply said of the shows, “There’s no place like home… I’m back on Brighton Beach for 3 spectacular nights in July 2026. THIS IS BIG BEACH BOUTIQUE 7…”

Previous installments of On The Beach have included sets from the likes of Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, The Blessed Madonna, Annie Mac, and Nic Fanciulli.

In the launch video for the summer event, Cook can be seen ziplining over a wobbling depiction of the beloved Brighton shore in an evidently humorous use of a green screen. He lands on the beach, barefoot, and the camera pans out.

This year, a secret set from Fatboy Slim was cancelled at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland due to overcrowding issues. The festival at the time shared the DJ’s disappointment, commenting, “He was hugely disappointed and in all honesty, I think I’ve let him down, but I’ve let all the fans down as well.”

At the end of 2024, the DJ admitted he had lost the “passion” to make new music. However, when it came to playing live, Cook insisted that he was as committed as ever, stating, “I feel like that about DJing and about putting on things like this, but I’ve kind of lost my passion for making music.”
