Watch Ezra Koenig perform a Vampire Weekend medley for The Tonight Show

Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig took to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a medley of songs from Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride.

The latest guest to appear on the late-night TV show remotely, Koenig provided a humble performance of the tracks that placed them firmly at the lounge bar.

Sat at his piano, Koenig performs three numbers from the band’s latest album. As well as ‘Flower Moon’ the singer also provides renditions of ‘Stranger’ and ‘Big Blue’. It’s a transporting performance, perfect for lockdown viewing.

The coronavirus pandemic has seen Koenig hosting weekly episodes of his previous fortnightly Beats 1 radio show, Time Crisis. A recent episode even saw Curb Your Enthusiasm genius Larry David drop in as a surprise appearance.

Koenig follows Thom Yorke as one of the more recent musical guests to perform remotely as lockdown continues to play havoc in the entertainment industry.

Fallon has also welcomed Mick Jagger to the show recently, as the legendary Rolling Stones frontman completed some chores.
