Emmys 2024: Jeremy Allen White wins ‘Best Actor in a Comedy Series’ for ‘The Bear’
The latest iteration of the Emmy Awards has been a close competition for all the brilliant new shows that have emerged in the last year. However, one clear winner is The Bear, starring Jeremy Allen White, who picked up an Emmy win.
For his amazing performance as a young chef who abandons the elite culinary world to return to his family restaurant, White received the coveted ‘Best Actor in a Comedy Series’ at the Emmys. Beating out the likes of Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis, White boosted his already impressive resumé.
During his acceptance speech, the actor expressed his admiration for the show and other aspects of the project. He began: “I’m so proud, I’m so full of gratitude to be standing in front of you all.”
White continued: “I love the show so much. It filled me up. It gave me a passion, set a fire in me to match the beautiful work. I love you guys. The beautiful cast and beautiful crew I get to share a space and stage with. Thank you to all those who have stayed close to me, especially in this past year. You know who you are.”
Revealing the internal doubts he had to confront to get to this stage, the actor concluded: “Thank you for believing in me when I had trouble believing in myself.”
For all fans, the future of The Bear is even more promising because it has been renewed for a third season and is scheduled for a return this year.
