Watch as Eddie Vedder join The Strokes on stage to perform two songs
Pearl Jam’s very own Eddier Vedder joined The Strokes on stage during a surprise collaboration at the annual Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California.
The music event, which saw The Strokes headline on Friday night, is curated by Vedder who was also booked to headline the Saturday night slot. As The Strokes rolled through their extensive back catalogue, Julian Casablancas invited Vedder to the stage to perform renditions of Pearl Jam song ‘Hard to Imagine’ and The Strokes’ track “’Juicebox’.
“Julian [Casablancas] asked if I would join the fellas here. One of the reasons I accepted is because it would give me the opportunity to thank all the great artists here today, especially The Strokes,” Vedder told the crowd when he took to the stage.
He added: “They’ve asked to do a version of this song, and I’d like to dedicate it to all the people in Everytown, Mom’s Demand Action, and Student’s Demand Action, who are working so hard for common sense gun laws. Respect the right of ownership, but also preserve our right to feel safe in our towns, our communities, our schools, and our homes. We will persevere!”
