Ebon Moss-Bacharach would use his ‘Fantastic Four’ powers to throw fascists into outer space

The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor Ebon Moss-Bacharach has revealed he would use his superhero powers to throw fascists into outer space.

The new movie stars Moss-Bacharach, best known for his role in The Bear, as The Thing, alongside Pedro Pascal as Mr Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman, and Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch.

Since being released on July 25th in cinemas, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has already proved to be a summer box office hit. In its opening weekend, it grossed $118 million in America and $110 million worldwide to land a total of $210 million.

The synopsis reads, “Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, the Fantastic Four must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer.”

To promote the movie, Moss-Bacharach was interviewed by IMDb alongside castmates Pascal, Kirby, and Quinn. The four stars were probed, “If you could borrow your character’s powers for one day, what’s the first thing you would do?”

In response, Moss-Bacharach, who plays The Thing, known for his physical strength, said: “There’s a handful of fascists that I would just throw into outer space. That’s what I would do.”

While Moss-Bacharach didn’t elaborate on the fascists that he would like The Thing to lay his hands on to send into space, his response did elicit a roar and a handshake from Pascal.

In contrast, his cast members instead offered more lighthearted responses, with Quinn stating: “I would grab these three, fly to somewhere very hot and nice, we’d go on holiday, and I’d cook them a nice barbecue with my own fire. No airport queues.”

Last week, before it became a box office smash, Pascal opened up about his worries regarding taking on a beloved story such as The Fantastic Four, sharing, “I think I just was a little bit more sensitive to the love that people have for stories like this, because I know that they wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the love that people have for these character.”
