Eagles legend Don Felder shares health update: “We appreciate everyone’s concern”

Former Eagles guitarist Don Felder has updated fans after suffering a medical emergency on stage recently.

On February 13th, the musician was seen being rushed offstage after suffering from a medical emergency during a Rock Legends Cruise performance. In a video that circulated online, Felder introduced the Eagles’ song ‘Tequila Sunrise’ before glancing at crew members’ side of the stage. He then began to lose balance and quickly received assistance from the crew, who helped him off stage.

The following day, the Eagles shared an update on their Instagram stating: “We appreciate everyone’s concern regarding Don Felder’s abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise,”.

It continued, “after receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids, and is feeling much better.”

They explained the remaining Rock Legends Cruise dates would be rescheduled to “ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully”, before concluding with “Thank you for your understanding and remember – drink your water!”.

Felder’s incident follows the news that guitarist Steuart Smith was stepping down from the band due to his own health warnings. The band subsequently recruited Christopher Holt to fill Smith’s place, who stepped in for the first time during their residency show at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

The band recently extended its residency, confirming that it will continue into the spring of 2025. Tickets to certain shows are still available.
