Watch Dua Lipa join Tame Impala in London to perform ‘Houdini’ at The O2
Tame Impala‘s Kevin Park might be celebrating his recent album, Deadbeat, on tour, but he had no qualms about performing a Dua Lipa classic at his latest show in London.
In 2025, Tame Impala released Deadbeat, his fifth studio album and the follow-up to 2020’s The Slow Rush. In 2024, Parker collaborated with London singer-songwriter Dua Lipa on her hit album, Radical Optimism.
Parker chose to celebrate both albums on May 8th, during a 22-song set in the British capital, which opened with the 2012 hit, ‘Apocalypse Dreams’.
After 14 songs had been played for around 20,000 fans at London’s O2 Arena, Dua Lipa joined her long-time collaborator on stage to sing the Deadbeat track ‘Afterthought’ with Parker. Following this, after taking in the thunderous applause, the pair performed Lipa’s Radical Optimism hit ‘Houdini’.
After the musician and Barbie actor left the stage, Parker slammed through an encore filled with hits, such as ‘My Old Ways’, ‘The Less I Know The Better’, and ‘End of Summer’.
This isn’t the first time the pair have shared the stage together; in 2024, the Australian hitmaker joined Lipa on stage during her Glastonbury performance for the mega-hit, ‘The Less I Know The Better’.
Parker has previously praised his surprise guest as an “absolute weapon” and a “meticulous” editor, adding on Instagram upon the release of Radical Optimism, “Don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of something I’ve worked on.”
Similarly, Lipa has been generous with her praise for Parker, deeming Currents one of her favourite albums: “In terms of things that I’m obsessed with, ‘Currents’ has been the soundtrack to my life,” she told Triple J. “It’s one of my favourite albums ever ever ever. [It] was kind of like the gateway drug for me into Tame Impala.”
Tame Impala will next head to Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, before travelling to Utilita Arena in Birmingham, The Ovo Hydro in Glasgow, and 3Arena in Dublin.
In July, Tame Impala will embark on a North American tour with pop-rock star Djo and alternative R&B artist Dominic Fike.
