Drenge – ‘Drenge’
We continue with our build-up to Beacons Festival this week, and the bands we’re most looking forward to seeing this weekend are dominating our Track of the Day section.
On that note, not long ago, we brought you a new single from Drenge in ‘Face Like A Skull’, along with the amusing tale of Labour MP Tom Watson deciding to ‘sign off in a quirky way’ by name-dropping the Sheffield duo in his resignation speech.
Since then, though, a fair bit has happened; the band have not only published an official video to their most recent single but followed the common trend of releasing their much sought-after debut album. Although it may seem like a different approach, the band have followed a list as long as your arm by continuing the trend and giving their fans a little taster online.
By now you’ve all heard Drenge’s releases to date, the likes of ‘Dogmeat’, ‘I Want To Break You In Half’ and ‘Bloodsports’ but the album is 12 tracks long and available to buy now, so you’ve got some catching up to do if you want to be ready for the weekend.
