Dogstar announce fourth album, ‘All In Now’ and North American tour
Grunge band Dogstar are set to release their fourth studio album, All In Now, on May 29th. The project is heralded by the energetic title track.
The new project has been produced by Nick Launay, who has previously worked with punk titans Idles and Amyl and the Sniffers, as well as Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
It will follow on from their 2023 album, Somewhere Between The Power Lines and Palm Trees, which was their first album in two decades.
The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and bassist Keanu Reeves.
Looking ahead at the new release, Mailhouse has explained, “The single really sets up the energy at the heart of this album and the fun that we’ve always had playing together.”
He explained, “Talk about a live song. Keanu came up with the title for that song too, and it sort of summed up where and who we are as a band today. It just feels true to us. We’re leaning in, and we are going to keep going.”
Reeves added to this excitement, sharing that the band “couldn’t fucking wait” to get back in the studio, while sharing that the new song is “good to lean into, so, we really are all in now.”
Domrose agreed, adding, “It felt like our last album was our ticket into a party,” says Domrose. “And now we’ve shown up to the party — the three of us.”
Coveted producer Launay added to the great vibes, sharing of their time in the studio together, “‘It’s always a treat working with such capable musicians because the sky’s the limit when experimenting, and that’s exactly what we did, while smiling all the way.”
The band has also revealed a list of North American tour dates to celebrate the new album, which will commence after their already-confirmed European dates.
