Devo and The B-52s announce co-headline UK summer 2026 gigs

Devo and The B-52s have announced two huge co-headline shows, set to take place in the UK next summer.

The first show will take place at The O2 in London on June 20th. A day later, they’ll make their way up north for the second show, at the AO Arena in Manchester.

They have already announced support acts, too: Scottish punk band The Rezillos and fellow New Wave artist Lene Lovich.

Earlier this summer, Devo and The B-52’s announced that they planned to join forces on a co-headlining tour across North America, called the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour.

The tour began on September 24th in Toronto and ended on November 2nd in Houston. The pair of artists was joined by genre protégé Lene Lovich.

Despite previously embarking on a farewell tour, Devo exclusively revealed to Far Out, “It takes a long time to say goodbye,” before adding, “We still haven’t played about 50% of the markets that want us. So we keep moving through those.”

The newly announced shows mark the first time The B-52s will perform live in the UK since 2019. For Devo, the show follows up on their ’50 Years of De-Evolution Tour’ in 2023.

In the exclusive chat with Far Out, Devo also commented on their touring comrades, sharing, “Even though we’re very different, we’re both unique. There’s no other band that sounds like The B-52’s. There’s no other band that sounds like Devo.”

They continued, “What the B-52’s were singing about, and what we were singing about, we were appealing to marginalised demographics, and outsiders, and people that felt disenfranchised in general. You know, they were not accepted by the mainstream jock culture.”

Devo recently joined forces with PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and others to feature on the ‘Los Angeles Rising’ wildfire relief benefit compilation album.
