Destiny’s Child reunite for Beyoncé’s final show in Las Vegas
Beyoncé pulled out all the stops for the final night of her Cowboy Carter tour in Las Vegas, bringing out Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child reunion.
Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter tour back in April in Inglewood, California. The musician performed all of her greatest hits over 32 shows, each 2 hours and 45 minutes long. The tour was in support of her 2024 album, which won three Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album.
Forty songs into the show, she welcomed Rowland and Williams to the stage for the first time in a decade. They performed ‘Lose My Breath’ together, as well as ‘Energy’, which included Beyoncé’s infamous mute challenge, and then rounded out the reunion with ‘Bootylicious’, performed together for the first time since 2013.
Destiny’s Child originally parted ways in 2006, but stayed close friends over the years. The last time trio performed together was back in 2013 for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Elsewhere on the tour, unreleased music from Beyoncé was stolen from a car used by her entourage, ahead of shows she played in Atlanta, Georgia. Items involved in the theft included hard drives containing unreleased music, show plans, and tour set lists, as well as designer clothes and Apple headphones.
On July 26th, Donald Trump called for Beyoncé’s prosecution for campaigning for Kamala Harris during the last election. He slammed the musician in a post to Truth Social on July 26th, where the President wrote, “I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election, and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!).”
