Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard has put his own unique spin on Neil Young song ‘Don’t Cry No Tears’ on his latest ‘Live From Home’ live streaming series.
Gibbard, who is one of the first artists to kick off the lockdown live online music trend, began performing a show every day from his home and streaming it live through his social media channels. Having already taken on the likes of Bob Dylan and Joy Division, the singer-songwriter has paid homage to another rock icon.
Now, as Lady Gaga rounds up the world’s most famous names for a mega-money pandemic fundraiser, Gibbard has returned back to his home studio to revisit Death Cab classics such as ‘A Movie Script Ending’ and ‘Styrofoam Plates’ in a performance which lasted 48 minutes.
To close the show, Gibbard covered Neil Young’s ‘Don’t Cry No Tears’, a song which originally which appeared on the 1975 album Zuma.
