David Gilmour is streaming Pink Floyd's 'Live At Pompeii' concert film on YouTube

David Gilmour has made Pink Floyd’s Live At Pompeii concert film available to stream for a prolonged period of time.

The film, which was previously streamed by the band for one day only, followed the previously released their concert film ‘Pulse’ from their iconic Earl’s Court appearance in 1995.

“We’d like to wish you all the best, and hope that you and your families are staying safe and well in these difficult times,” Pink Floyd said in a statement about their new series.

They added: “We will continue to post as normal to hopefully give you some interesting and diverting images, music and video to help us all get through this.”

Live at Pompeii is the now-iconic 1972 concert documentary film directed by Adrian Maben. Featuring the band performing at the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy, the film gained notoriety as the band ran through a full set despite not having an audience to perform for.

With only basic crew watching on, the footage was filmed around the amphitheatre across a four-day period in October 1971 and has subsequently been re-released on video numerous times in the years that followed.
