David Bowie live stream set to feature Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan and more

To celebrate what would have been David Bowie’s 74th birthday on January 8th, a star-studded cast of names are set to feature in A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! which is to include performances from the likes of Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Perry Farrell, and more huge names.

The event has been put together by Bowie’s longtime pianist, Mike Garson, who has called upon many the many of Bowie’s closest musical collaborators who have agreed to take part in the show. This includes his producing partner Tony Visconti, as well as members of his final touring band such as Garson himself, Gail Ann Dorsey, Earl Slick, Sterling Campbell, Gerry Leonard, and Catherine Russell. Other names who have worked with Bowie that are confirmed to take part include Zack Alford, Carlos Alomar, Kevin Armstrong, Alan Childs, Robin Clark, Emm Gryner, Omar Hakim, Clare Hirst, Erdal Kızılçay, Tim Lefebvre, Martha Mooke, Holly Palmer, Mark Plati, Carmine Rojas, and Charlie Sexton.

Bowie’s close friend, actor Gary Oldman, has also been confirmed to take part in proceedings as has Bush’s Gavin Rossdale, Macy Gray, Ian Astbury, Lizzy Hale, Gail Ann Dorsey, Bernard Fowler, Corey Glover, Lena Hall, and Judith Hill. It’s a simply mind-bending array of talent.

“What we’re planning is an amazing show with the most talented musicians from every period of David’s career, as well as phenomenal artists from many different genres,” Garson said in a statement. “We’ll hear different interpretations of David’s songs; some with totally new arrangements that have never been heard before.”

Tickets for the event are priced at $20 dollars for an early-bird ticket which is available from November 1st and there are also other options available such as a VIP package which includes access to private rehearsals, a pre-show soundcheck, and an after-show Q&A with members of the band in addition to special merchandise.

For any fan of David Bowie, this is a must-watch experience.
