New David Bowie ‘Conversation Piece’ vinyl box set announced

It has been announced that David Bowie Conversation Piece, a brand new limited edition box set, will be released with a series of previously unreleased tracks.

Focusing predominantly on Bowie’s career between 1968 and 1969, the box set includes studio recordings with John “Hutch” Hutchinson, a series of home recordings and audio from numerous different BBC sessions.

On top of all that, David Bowie Conversation Piece will includes a combination of demos, 12 previously unreleased tracks and a new mix of Bowie’s Space Oddity album by Tony Visconti.

Speaking about the project in a press release, Visconti said: “It was so much fun to find hidden gems of musicianship with more time to mix the second time around, a guitar twiddle here, a trombone blast there, Marc Bolan’s voice in a group choir and more detail in general that we overlooked all those years ago when the label gave us a week at the most to mix this album. And in the details you will find 22 year old David Bowie, who would soon take the world by storm.”

The package will be released on CD and vinyl, include a 120-page hardback book, exclusive memorabilia from Bowie’s former manager Ken Pitt and pressed on a combination of silver vinyl, gold vinyl and black.
