Cyndi Lauper announces Las Vegas residency

Cyndi Lauper has announced that she is set to head to Las Vegas for a residency at Caesar’s Palace next spring.

The singer announced the news on October 6th, off the back of her farewell tour, which had concluded on August 30th at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. While her days of touring are over, Lauper is still set to deliver live performances and is now set to return for the residency stint of five concerts.

Unveiling the Cyndi Lauper: Live in Las Vegas shows on a post on Instagram, she said: “Vegas will become ‘Cyn City’ next spring, when I bring my Girls Just Wanna Have Fun show to town for this special run, an opportunity for fans who missed my Farewell Tour to celebrate one last time.”

The residency will span five dates across late April and early May next year, with Lauper only recently having bid farewell to her ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ tour. The final date in Los Angeles was an incredibly special night featuring a slew of star-studded guests, including Joni Mitchell, Cher, and SZA.

Regarding her decision to step away from the touring life, Lauper previously opened up in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live by saying: “I want to do an arena tour… I’m strong now, but I don’t know what I’m going to be like in four years. For me, I wanted to have a chance to do this when I’m feeling strong. I want to celebrate with people. Really celebrate with people, and make it fun.”

However, before the singer heads to Vegas in 2026, she first has an important date in next month, where she is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on November 8th. At the illustrious ceremony, she will be joined by fellow fresh inductees such as Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes.

Presale tickets for Lauper’s Las Vegas residency will begin on October 8th, before the general sale becomes available on October 10th.
