‘Cobra Kai’ star Martin Kove accused of biting Alicia Hannah-Kim at fan event

An actor in the Netflix series Cobra Kai, Martin Kove, was asked to leave a fan convention over the weekend after allegedly biting his co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim at the event.

The incident reportedly took place on June 22nd at the Summer Con convention in Puyallup, Washington, where the stars of the hit series were participating in a range of events and hosting a fan meet and greet.

According to a police report obtained by Variety, Hannah-Kim alleged that the attack from Kove was unprovoked, after she tapped him on the shoulder to say hello, and he proceeded to bite down on her arm “so hard he nearly drew blood.”

After the actor screamed out in pain, Kove allegedly started to kiss the area he had previously bitten, before Hannah-Kim relayed the incident to her husband, who was also at the event.

When the pair then returned to confront Kove, he seemingly lost his temper, “saying something to the effect of how dare they confront him.”

From Kove’s perspective, he allegedly thought he was attempting to be “funny” after he and Hannah-Kim had apparently play-fought many times on the set of Cobra Kai while filming.

However, the police report notes that Hannah-Kim did not wish to press charges against her co-star, only to have a record of the incident with the authorities “in case this continues.”

Subsequently, 78-year-old Kove was warned not to repeat his behaviour by the police and asked to leave the venue where the convention was being held.

The actor had initially risen to fame playing the character of John Kreese in the Karate Kid franchise, before joining the spin-off series Cobra Kai to reprise his role.
