CMAT announces new intimate UK tour ahead of Glastonbury

CMAT has announced that she will perform a string of four intimate shows this summer in the run-up to her slot at Glastonbury Festival.

The Irish singer took to X on May 6th to announce: “Hi girls it’s me! I’m very excited to surprise announce that The Very Sexy CMAT band will be going on a Glasto-warmup-mini-tour !!! Where’s a gorgeous girl like me off to then??? New York, London, Milan? Hell no!!!! It’s Liverpool! Bedford! Falmouth and Frome !!!”

She then added that she would be playing each stop on the tour on June 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th, respectively.

This comes in the week leading up towards the Worthy Farm festival, although it is not yet known what day or stage CMAT will be performing on.

Regarding her mini tour, the singer then explained that the four gigs would be very intimate and that no phones would be allowed.

“These shows are very small capacity and we will be playing our 60-minute-long Official Glastonbury in one go, as we will be on the [REDACTED] stage,” she wrote. “No encores, no phones, just a lot of sexy people living in the moment and me presumably crowd surfing after a singular beer.”

It comes ahead of a busy summer for CMAT, in which she is currently supporting Sam Fender on his European tour before also opening his stadium shows in Newcastle and London in June.

Her sophomore album Euro-Country will be released on August 29th, before she embarks on her own headline tour of the UK, Ireland and Europe towards the end of the year, including the 3Arena in Dublin.

Tickets for CMAT’s summer mini tour will go on sale on May 9th at 10am, while presale will be made available to those who pre-order Euro-Country before May 7th.
