Chuck Norris hospitalised in Hawaii amid medical emergency
86-year-old Hollywood veteran Chuck Norris has been hospitalised in Hawaii.
The medical emergency reportedly took place on March 19th on the island of Kauai, and the details have not yet been disclosed.
According to TMZ, the publication which broke the news of Norris’ hospitalisation, the action star “is in good spirits” despite the medical issues.
Norris, who is also a martial artist, celebrated his 86th birthday earlier this month on March 10th. To mark the occasion, he took to Instagram to share a video of himself boxing along with the caption, “I don’t age. I level up. I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young.”
Looking ahead to the future, he added, “I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
He also thanked his 2.8 million followers on the platform, describing them as “the best fans in the world”, and said, “Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”
Per TMZ, Norris also engaged in a training session on March 18th before he was hospitalised in the 24 hours that followed.
While Norris has largely been retired from the acting business for the last 20 years, he does appear in the upcoming Australian action film, Zombie Plane, which is slated to arrive later this year.
He has not appeared in a major mainstream movie since The Expendables 2 in 2012.
Norris is yet to comment on reports of his hospitalisation.
