The star of the upcoming new film The Batman, Robert Pattinson received some crucial advice from one of the previous actors to don the guise of the caped crusader, Christian Bale.
The new film’s director, Matt Reeves, revealed that Bale gave the new Batman Pattinson some unique advice on taking on such a huge icon of pop culture.
Speaking with Batman DC FanDome panel, Reeves was asked by a fan how much the cast had helped to curate their costumes. While many could be thinking about looking cool or making sure your silicone muscles are extra pumped, but Pattinson had some sage advice in his back pocket from someone who knew the deal.
Reeves revealed that Bale had spoken to Pattinson about rather more base urges: “Rob actually talked to Christian Bale, and Christian Bale was like, ‘Just make sure you’re gonna be able to relieve yourself.’”
Considering the long hours in the suit while on set, it’s some pretty solid advice. Reeves also heeded the words and ensure the suit allowed Pattinson to both “put it on” and “to live as a human being”.
Bale’s performance as part of the Dark Knight trilogy will be hard to beat, just ask Ben Affleck. But judging by the new trailer shared this week, it will be a hotly contested debate.
