The Pretenders duo Chrissie Hynde and James Walbourne have released a new cover of Bob Dylan.

The duo’s latest rendition, which arrives as the seventh edition in their ongoing ‘Dylan Lockdown Series’, sees the pair cover ‘Don’t Fall Apart on Me Tonight’.

Having previously taken on the likes of ‘In The Summertime’, ‘Standing in the Doorway’, ‘You’re A Big Girl Now’ and more, Hynde’s newest recording sees her take the lead on the track taken from Dylan’s 1983 album Infidels.

The Dylan Lockdown Series arrives as a side project for Hynde and Walbourne whose main focus is driving attention to the upcoming new Pretenders album Hate For Sale, which will be released tomorrow, Friday, July 17.

“I wanted to write with him since day one,” Hynde said in reference to Walbourne. “James is especially sought after and has recorded with Jerry Lee Lewis, Dave Gahan and the Rails, to name but a few,” she added of the new album.

“We always planned on writing while on the road, but as anyone in a band will tell you, being on tour is a procrastinator’s dream come true.”

For now though, stream the latest Dylan cover.
