Caroline Polachek shares ‘Desire, I Want to Turn Into You: Everasking Edition’

To celebrate the first anniversary of Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, Caroline Polachek has released a new deluxe edition of the album.

The release comes with multiple additions to the original album, which was originally released on February 14th, 2023, making Desire, I Want to Turn Into You an even more full-bodied piece of work. Present on the record are nods to various tracks that inspired the LP, including an electric cover of Operating Theatre’s ‘Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry In The Mouth’, and ‘Coma’, an extended version of ‘Pharmacoma (for Ben Deitz)’ by Default Genders.

Additionally, Polachek has rearranged one of the fan’s favourite songs from the album, ‘I Believe.’ It also sees her alter the track ‘Butterfly Net’, as she joins forces with Weyes Blood to deliver a show-stopping duet.

As the original album was a genre-defying LP, the new edition of Desire, I Want to Turn Into You provides insight into the inspiration behind the dazzling creation and helps fans piece the puzzle together.

Furthermore, Polachek has also included new songs ‘Meanwhile’, ‘Gambler’s Prayer’, and ‘Dang’, which she recently premiered on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The original edition of Desire, I Want to Turn Into You received a Grammy nomination for ‘Best Engineered Album’ and helped Polachek win a Brit Award for ‘Best Solo International Artist’. To promote the record, the American also ventured upon a world tour that saw her play venues such as Radio City Music Hall in New York and London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
