Cabaret Voltaire announce farewell tour dates in US
Some months after Cabaret Voltaire announced their final UK tour, they have now revealed the dates and locations of most of their final US shows.
Last October, the Sheffield-bred electronic, industrial icons announced their final UK tour, set to take place in October this year.
Stephen ‘Mal’ Mallinder and Chris Watson announced 11 separate shows, culminating in a huge homecoming show in Sheffield on October 25th.
Now, the duo has announced a West Coast jaunt around the US in May, along with I Speak Machine. They have promised to follow up with East Coast dates soon.
Commenting on the goodbye tour at the end of last year, Mallinder shared, “What a wonderful opportunity to go round the block one more time and share that with one of the most unique and spectacular artists we know. The connective tissue between ourselves, our history, and the world Gazelle Twin now conjures up, will be out there and shared with people. It seems like a special, magical moment.”
Last November, they warmed up for their live farewell with five anniversary shows that took place from November 17th to 22nd in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London,, and Brighton, which celebrated 50 years together.
