Bruce Springsteen thankful Donald Trump unscathed amid White House shooting: “There is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence”

Bruce Springsteen has condemned political violence and celebrated President Donald Trump’s health after a shooter opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The incident took place on April 25th, and the suspect has since been identified as Cole Tomas Allen. The 31-year-old, who will appear in court on April 27th.

No attendees of the event were harmed by the alleged shooter, but it did cause the Correspondents’ Dinner to be cancelled.

While Springsteen has been one of the most vocal critics of the Trump administration, he used his performance in Austin on April 26th to condemn political violence of all forms.

‘The Boss’ told fans, “We begin tonight with a prayer for our men and women in service overseas. We pray for their safe return. We also send out a prayer of thanks that our president, nor anyone in the administration, nor anyone attending was injured in last night’s incident at the Press Correspondents’ Dinner.”

Springsteen continued, “We can disagree. We can be critical of those in power. And we can peacefully fight for our beliefs, but there is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States.”

Following the attempted attack, Trump spoke about the incident with 60 Minutes, insisting, “I wasn’t worried.” He added, “I understand life. We live in a crazy world.”

The incident is believed to be politically motivated.

Springsteen’s empathetic message for Trump comes after the president recently urged his supporters to boycott the legendary singer-songwriter following comments he made about him at a live show. Notably, he scaled down this section of the show in Austin in light of the attempted attack.

The president wrote on Truth Social on April 2nd, “Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS.”

Springsteen’s Land of Hope and Dreams tour is set to resume in Chicago on April 29th.
