Brit Awards 2025: The Last Dinner Party and Jade among performers announced
Ahead of the ceremony on March 1st 2025, the Brit Awards have announced the first number of artists set to perform at the award show.
Back for its 45th year, the Brits is to celebrate British and international music across a range of genres. As the nominees were revealed last week, Charli XCX raced ahead of the pack with five nominations, including a ‘Best Album’ shout for Brat. The category for ‘Best New Artist’ sees fierce competition as The Last Dinner Party, Ezra Collective, English Teacher, Myles Smith, and Rachel Chinouriri battle it out.
Elsewhere, The Beatles received their first nomination in over forty years for their final single ‘Now and Then’, which topped the charts upon release in 2023.
With the nominees locked in, the focus has now switched to the event itself as the first five performers for the night have been announced. Taking place at London’s O2 Arena, song of the year nominees Jade and Myles Smith are on the lineup of performers. Smith is also the recipient of this year’s ‘Rising Star’ award.
American artists Shaboozy and Teddy Swims will also perform their nominated tracks at the event, representing the ‘International Song of the Year’ category.
Up for ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Alternative/Rock Act’ and ‘Album of the Year’, The Last Dinner Party make up the fifth and final performer announced in the first batch.
After being crowned the ‘Rising Star’ in 2024 and being predicted as future music leaders, The Last Dinner Party rose to the occasion on their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy. Talking about the event, the band said, “At our first BRITs last year we were in total awe at the scale and spectacle of the performances, so we can’t wait to bring our own show to such an iconic stage!”
The Brit Awards are scheduled to take place on March 1st at the O2 Arena in London with Jack Whitehall set to host.
