Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe announce new album ‘Liminal’
Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe have confirmed details of their third collaborative album, Liminal. The duo have also shared two new tracks.
The new record is set to be released on October 10th on Verve Records. Their upcoming album is the follow-up to the double album Lateral and Luminal, which arrived on June 6th, 2025.
To preview the forthcoming release, they have shared two new tracks, one vocal, ‘The Last To Know’, and one instrumental, ‘Ringing Ocean’.
The duo say of the new LP: “Liminal stands at the point of convergence between Lateral and Luminal. If Lateral is a kind of landscape painting, a sonic place, Luminal is a dream-like awakening, a feeling space. Liminal, the newest addition, is a hybrid of the two, a strange new land with a human living and feeling its way through its mysterious spaces.”
Eno and Wolfe continue: “Liminal is set in the borderlands between song and non-song (or ‘nong’ as we call it), where the listener is exploring an intimate and unfamiliar new sonic world, as yet unclaimed, and still ambiguous.”
Liminal is set to be released in a variety of formats, including eco-friendly CD, black biovinyl, and translucent rose biovinyl as a webstore exclusive.
Meanwhile, next month, Eno is set to take over London’s Wembley Arena on September 17th for Together for Palestine. The event, in aid of charity Choose Love, which will distribute the money to pay for Palestinian aid, boasts a huge line-up including Damon Albarn, King Krule, Bastille, Rina Sawayama, Jamie XX, Hot Chip, Paloma Faith, James Blake and many more.
In the press release for Together for Palestine, Eno stated: “In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That’s why this concert matters. It’s time for us to come together — not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity.”
