Brian Eno’s Palestine fundraiser announces huge line-up including Damon Albarn

The first wave of acts for Together For Palestine, the UK’s largest-ever fundraising concert for Palestine, has been announced. Artists such as Damon Albarn, King Krule, and Rachel Chinouriri will play alongside a selection of Palestinian performers and artists.

The one-day event, scheduled to take place at Wembley Arena on September 17th, has been co-curated and produced by Brian Eno, activist Khalid Abdalla, Marsm Festival founder Khaled Ziada, and London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony producer Tracey Seaward.

Billing itself as “an evening of music, reflection and hope,” the festival aims to raise funds for those affected by the genocide in Gaza and establish an expression of solidarity between the UK and the Palestinian people. 100 per cent of ticket sales proceeds will be paid to Choose Love, which will then distribute the money to Palestinian-led organisations offering humanitarian aid.

In the press release, Eno states: “In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That’s why this concert matters. It’s time for us to come together — not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity.”

Echoing Eno’s sentiments, Ziada proclaims: “In a world where governments and mainstream media have fallen silent in the face of genocide, this gathering becomes a chorus of resistance – where artists and communities come together to grieve, to rage, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinian people, and with all those who suffer injustice.”

Throughout the evening, attendees will be treated to a series of one-off performances and collaborations. Palestinian artists such as Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman, and Nai Barghouti will all take to the stage alongside UK artists. The stage will also be adorned with displays from Palestinian visual artists, all curated by Es Devlin and Malak Mattar.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased here. Further line-up announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
