Bon Jovi to re-release ‘Forever’ with Bruce Springsteen, Avril Lavigne and more
Grammy Award-winning band Bon Jovi have announced a reimagining of their hit album Forever. Forever (Legend Edition) will release on October 24th via Island Records.
The new collaborative project will feature the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Joe Elliott, Robbie Williams, Avril Lavigne, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Carin Leon, Marcus King, Ryan Tedder and more. Bon Jovi’s collaboration with Springsteen on ‘Hollow Man’ will be released on August 29th, along with the first track ‘Red, White and Jersey’.
Forever was Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album, released initially on June 24th, in recognition of the band’s 40th anniversary and the release of the four-part documentary, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.
Jon Bon Jovi has stressed that the re-imagined album was “borne out of necessity,” and opened up about his “vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehab, [which] was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in June 2024.”
He found the vocal demands and rigors of touring challenging, so he decided to “call on some friends to help me in my time of need.”
The frontman continued, “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit — a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends. I feel tremendous joy and gratitude releasing this album and I think it shows in the music. I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”
Forever (Legendary Edition) will be released on October 24th.
