Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell and U2 confirmed for FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles

In the wake of the devastating wildfires still burning throughout California, musical heavyweights like Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks and Lady Gaga have been announced as headliners for the FireAid Benefit Concert.

Other acts confirmed include U2, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Jelly Roll, Lil Baby, Pink and Katy Perry.

While firefighters are still trying to contain the deadly flames, FireAid had previously been announced as a way to help the community. The concert’s proceeds will aid those displaced in the aftermath of the intense blaze. It will be held on January 30th at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, home of the LA Clippers.

The devastating losses in California also hit particularly close to home for Eilish, considering she grew up in the same area where the fires are raging. Other notable performers who have had a history in the affected areas include Gwen Stefani of No Doubt. The Hollywood Reporter has also said that funk rockers and California mainstays Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing at the benefit show.

All of the concert’s proceeds will go to FireAid, which is organised by music industry mogul Irving Azoff. The relief fund promises to use the money to help rebuild the infrastructure damaged in the blaze, support displaced families, and ensure proper fire prevention measures are taken in the future. While more work is taking place in expelling the flames, the devastation has already left 12,000 homes destroyed and 25 people dead.

The aftermath of the fires has left many famous faces in Los Angeles either losing their homes or relocating to find somewhere safe. While January 2025 had been destined to be a productive month, acts like The Weeknd have halted their schedules out of respect to the losses, with the R&B singer pushing back the release and subsequent release party for his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

While many artists have come together for a night of music, other mainstays of California have shown their support by pledging money to the cause. Even though California legends Eagles will not be performing at the ceremony, they have pledged $2.5 million to the proceeds.

Artists like Dave Grohl have also been on the ground floor of the relief efforts. When celebrating his birthday on January 14th, Grohl spent it cooking food for families affected by the fires. Progress is still being made on keeping the blaze contained, but in light of all the cancellations, the 2025 Grammys is st to be going on as planned.
