If you ever wanted to hear Billie Eilish's 'Bad Guy' in the style of Dookie-era Green Day, then it's your lucky day

The darling of the alt-pop world Billie Eilish has been the talk of the town for much of 2019. Whether it was for her meme-generating tunes, her wildly honest and open interviews, or her sneering punk attitude, she’s rightly gained a lot of fans. Many have likened her to some rock legends, but while some compare her to Cobain, this clip shows she much closer to Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong in his 90’s heyday.

A YouTuber has reimagined Eilish’s seminal tune ‘Bad Guy’ as if it were written by Billie Joe and his band back in their Dookie heyday, and it works incredibly well. The track effortlessly blends into Green Day’s back catalogue and has left us wanting a whole lot more.

This isn’t the first time a YouTuber has taken Eilish’s ‘Bd Guy’ and chucked it into a vat of bubbling hot pop-punk. New Wave last month put ‘bad Guy’ into the world with a Blink-182 spin on it, and again, it worked incredibly well.

While the track has been used endlessly for memes and other internet folly, these latest efforts have us actually wanting some more. So, Billie, any chance of meeting up with your namesake and dropping a quick album for us? Please?
