Billie Eilish made her debut performance at the American Music Awards to not only show the audience her incredible talent but also the reason for picking up awards at the ceremony.
The pop star was nominated for six awards on the night but ended up going home with two awards. She picked up the award for best Alternative Rock Artists of the year and New Artist of the Year.
The ‘Bad Guy’ singer is widely seen as the heir to the pop crown and her performance at 2019’s American Music Awards, will go some way to cement that position more firmly than ever.
Introduced on stage by Tyler, The Creator, who jokingly said to the audience: “Earlier this year, my album ‘Igor’ was the number one album in the country. And then this 17-year-old girl who dressed like a quarterback decided to change that.”
Her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas joined Eilish on stage with a live drummer. While Eilish performs the stage was engulfed in pyrotechnics she performs the track from her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’.
