Biffy Clyro‘s Simon Neil has been talking up the band’s chances of headling Glastonbury Festival.
The Scottish band, who have held down headline slots at major festivals such as Reading & Leeds, Isle Of Wight Festival, T In The Park and more, now believe they’re ready to step up to the holy grail of festivals.
“We’re ready for it, we love Glastonbury, we’d love to do it,” Neil said in an interview with Bang Showbiz. “I think the next six months to a year we’re going to be working on our new album, so I don’t think the timing will be right for next year. But it’s got to happen.”
Having recently released their MTV: Unplugged record, Biffy Clyro are preparing new material: “Our next album will be a reaction to the acoustic album, it’s going to be like a tight fist,” Neil said.
“We went on tour for the unplugged record we made, I’ve played a lot of acoustic guitar the past year so I’m ready to plug in and make a racket,” he added.
