Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella show heading to Netflix in new film ‘Homecoming’

Beyonce’s iconic headline performance at Coachella Festival 2018 is heading to Netflix as part of the new film Homecoming.

In announcing the news, Beyoncé shared an intimate trailer that offers an inside look behind the scenes of her performance at Coachella. In the clip, details of her journey from the early stages of her career set the story for the full cultural movement she has created.

Filmed in digital and using analogue Super 8 format, the film will premiere on Netflix on April 17th but will first be given its initial live stream from the 2019 edition of the festival, which kicks off Friday, April 12th.

Beyoncé’s historic show at Coachella marked the first time a woman had headlined the event, and, being Beyoncé, she managed to make it a friends and family affair as both Jay Z and Solange joined her on stage.

For many fans, though, her decision to bring back Destiny’s Child for renditions of ‘Lose My Breath’, ‘Say My Name’ and ‘Soldier’ will be remembered for years to come.
