Bauhaus releasing previous unheard material from their first ever recording session
Bauhaus are planning to release rare recordings taken from their very first session on January 26, 1979.
A press release states that The Bela Session, which will be released on November 23 via Leaving/Stones Throw, is made up of a newly mastered five-track collection features their seminal work Bela Lugosi’s Dead.
It’s now known that three previously unreleased songs are ‘Some Faces’, ‘Bite My Hip’ and ‘Boys (Original)’.
Bauhaus fans will recognise ‘Bite My Hip’ as it was later reworked and released as ‘Lagarija Nick’ back in 1983, while ‘Boys’ was re-recorded and released as the B-side of ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’.
To go alongside the news, the band have decided to make ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’ available to stream on digital streaming platforms for the first time.
