Baftas 2026: Full nominations revealed with ‘One Battle After Another’ leading pack

With the height of the Hollywood award season firmly in full swing, the Bafta nominations have now been revealed.

Nominations for the coveted awards were revealed on January 27th at 12pm GMT, before the ceremony takes place in London on February 22nd. They are set to be hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming, while the nominations were revealed by last year’s ‘Rising Star’ winner David Johnsson with Aimee Lou Wood.

Bafta has already revealed its longlist of films in consideration for the prizes, being the last major award body to do so. The Paul Thomas Anderson epic One Battle After Another is leading the pack for nomination with 14 nods, including ‘Best Film’.

Many of the films in contention for Bafta awards followed suit from the award ceremonies and nominations which have previously been revealed. In that regard, Sinners, Marty Supreme, and Hamnet are among the titles that saw multiple award nods.

While many of the film’s stars picked up nominations, Bafta also highlighted a number of British movies in contention for its prizes, including The Ballad of Wallis Island, I Swear, and Pillion all picking up nods for ‘Outstanding British Film’.

It comes as Bafta have already unveiled the five nominees for its prestigious ‘Rising Star’ award, used as a marker in the film industry as recognition of a fresh star likely to make a big impact on the film scene.

Last year’s winner Johnsson starred this year in the film adaptation of The Long Walk, based on the classic novel by Stephen King.

In terms of the class of nominees for 2026, there are nods for British actors Robert Aramayo, Archie Madekwe, and Posy Sterling, while Miles Caton and Chase Infiniti are representing Stateside talent for their roles in Sinners and One Battle After Another, respectively.
