Axl Rose kicks drum kit and throws microphone during Guns N’ Roses show in Buenos Aires

Axl Rose lashed out at the drum kit during a recent Guns N’ Roses concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

On October 18th, the rock group, who are currently in the middle of their South American tour, performed at the Estadio Huracán in the Argentinian capital.

However, fan footage, which has since surfaced following the concert, shows that Rose became angered during the opening song of their set, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.

The frontman, who appeared to be visibly frustrated, was seen kicking the drum riser and also throwing his microphone at the drum kit.

He was also captured taking off his jacket and walking off stage, before returning shortly later. Addressing the crowd, he said, “So, I’ll just try and wing this.”

The source of Rose’s frustration remains unclear. However, earlier this year, Guns N’ Roses did replace their drummer of 19 years, Frank Ferrer, with Isaac Carpenter.

At the time, Ferrer said of leaving the band: “The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous. I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl [Rose] and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.”

Shortly afterwards, it was confirmed that Carpenter would join the band on the road in 2025, who previously worked alongside Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan in Loaded.

Guns N’ Roses tour is set to continue in Florianópolis, Argentina, on October 21st, and will conclude in Mexico City next month.

While they previously had a reputation for their unpredictable live shows, Guns N’ Roses have steered away from controversy since they reunited with Slash in 2016.

Only earlier this month, Slash said of the prospect of another album, “There’s so much material at this point — it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and fucking get into it.’
