Armie Hammer to sell truck as he “can’t afford gas”

Actor Armie Hammer is planning on getting rid of one of his trucks because he can “no longer afford” to buy gas for the vehicle. The former Hollywood star has been accused of rape and sexual misconduct by a number of women in recent years, but Hammer wasn’t charged following an investigation.

In particular, one woman by the name of Effie had shared screenshots that Hammer had sent her in which he described his cannibalistic desires. After the allegations surfaced, Hammer’s agent and publicist dropped him from their rosters, and he also departed a number of productions for which he had signed up.

However, a case has not been levied against Hammer and the LA County District Attorney’s office have previously confirmed they would not be doing so in the future, at least not concerning the allegations of Effie. Still, Hammer is currently facing a severe financial strain as a result of the loss of work and a return to Hollywood remains off the table.

In a video posted on Instagram, Hammer announced that he would be selling a truck in order to save on gas costs, which had cost him around $500 in just a few weeks. “I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself because I’ve had pickup trucks for a long time, and I have loved this truck intensely,” Hammer said.

The actor went on to say that he has used the truck on a number of camping and road trips but then admitted that he simply “can’t afford the gas” anymore. Still, Hammer looks to be moving on to a more sustainable and affordable vehicle to get around.

“I’ve got a new car,” he added. “It’s tiny, it’s a hybrid, I’m probably going to put about ten bucks of gas in it a month, and this is it. I just keep telling myself that parking is gonna be easier and gas is gonna be cheaper.”

What did Armie Hammer tell Piers Morgan in his recent interview?

Hammer recently appeared on Piers Morgan: Uncensored and told the British journalist that a number of Hollywood figures had stuck by him since the rape and sexual misconduct allegations arose, including Robert Downey Jr., the Iron Man star.

“Anyone in Hollywood who suffers from any sort of addiction issues, whether it be alcohol or process addiction or drugs — decides to get sober, he will find you, and he will help you,” Hammer revealed. “It’s amazing.”

Hammer also responded to Morgan’s question of whether he considers himself a “cannibal”, noting, “Do you know what you have to do to be a cannibal? You have to have actually eaten someone.”

When Morgan posed the question once again in simpler terms, asking if Hammer had indeed eaten anyone, the actor simply replied, “No.”

However, he did admit to branding a former partner with a knife, recalling, “There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand, that we had discussed where, you know, I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter ‘A’ – just like the tip of a small knife.”
