Ariana Grande hits out at ticket touts: “It’s not right”
Global pop star Ariana Grande has made a statement online condemning ticket touts ahead of her upcoming 2026 tour.
The award-winning musician and actor will embark on her next major tour in 2026, titled The Eternal Sunshine Tour. It is in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine.
The singer took to Instagram to share her frustration at ticket touts who are threatening to drive up prices for the in-demand tickets. She began, “Hi my angels, I have been on set all week, but I wanted to let you know that what’s been happening with the secondary ticket resellers has been brought to my attention and of course I am incredibly bothered by it.”
She continued candidly, “I’ve been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution. I hear you, and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs. It’s not right”.
She closed her statement with the words, “I just wanted you to know that my team and I see it and that I care very much and we will do, and are doing, everything we can. I love you so much and thank you for your patience and understanding.”
In a similar move, Radiohead have condemned “exploitative ticket touts” ahead of their upcoming tour. The band required any willing attendees to sign up before a certain date, after which they would be sent a code to gain access to up to four tickets. Their website states, “Our aim is to distribute tickets according to demand in a fair and geographically convenient way.”
Similarly, Hayley Williams of Paramore has promised to do all she can to stop ticket touts, as she plans to go on a solo tour for her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.
Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour will hit arenas in North America and the United Kingdom will be Grande’s first tour in six years since she hit the road for the Sweetener tour, which 1.3 million people attended.
Grande will visit Oakland, Los Angeles, Austin, Sunrise, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal, Chicago, and London. Her trip to the English capital is the only European stop scheduled.
