Anderson .Paak launches kids ‘colouring club’ amid coronavirus pandemic
Anderson .Paak has launched a colouring club intended to keep children being creative during the coronavirus pandemic that has caused schools worldwide to shut its doors.
While musicians have been trying hard to keep themselves occupied during lockdown with artists such as James Blake and Ben Gibbard performing live streams for fans, Anderson .Paak has decided to do something a little different with the announcement of his #PaintWithPaak initiative.
A new edition of #PaintWithPaak will be available every Friday for the foreseeable future with the first edition available already. The first image is available from the musician’s Instagram account and features Paak by the beach with a surfboard which is exactly the kind of content we need right now.
In an Instagram post that you can check out in full below, the rapper said: “Shouts out to all you parents out there sticking tape to the walls. Here’s something else to keep the little ones occupied!! Have fun colouring and our faves will get showered with something special.”
The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease was first officially identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei in China. As of March 30th, more than 723,869 cases of COVID-19 have been officially confirmed but the actual number is thought to be much higher due to substantial under-reporting of cases.
With more than 34,000 people having died from the virus, COVID-19 has now spread into more than 180 other countries—including mainland Europe, South America and North America. Given the exponential growth in cases in countries like Italy, Spain and the UK, the WHO have now stated that Europe was the current centre of the pandemic.
