Alec Baldwin provoked by Donald Trump impersonator: “If the camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your fucking neck”
In a recent video, Alec Baldwin found himself on the receiving end of some jokes he didn’t find particularly funny after being approached by a Donald Trump impersonator.
The confrontation got messy as Baldwin was met with insults and references to the Rust shooting that happened in 2021 when the actor fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a prop gun.
The impersonator, Jason Scoop, joked about pardoning Baldwin for “murdering that woman in cold blood,” leading the actor to say, “If the camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your fucking neck.”
Scoop has been posting Trump impersonations online for a while, often prank-calling businesses, appearing in public, and even approaching celebrities. For this video, he stood next to Baldwin while he loaded his car with luggage, beginning by saying, “Alec, it’s your favourite president!”
“You can call it first degree, you can call it whatever you want, but it was not good. She’s looking down on me right now smiling, happy. Thank you for confronting the man who took me out, who killed me, and that’s OK,” Scoop said while sporting a yellow wig.
Baldwin appears incredibly agitated, hitting Scoop on the shoulder, reminding him that his children are in the building and threatening to break his neck before saying, “I’ll take that camera and shove it up your ass.”
In July 2024, a judge dismissed the case when it was discovered that vital evidence which explained how live ammunition had ended up on set had been withheld by prosecutors. Baldwin was not found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, but the movie’s armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for the same charge.
