Young teenager dies after attending Lollapalooza Festival

A 16-year-old boy has died while attending Chicago’s Lollapalooza 2018 Festival.

Reports from local Chicago news claim that the boy was found unresponsive yesterday evening on the festival grounds. The boy has been identified as Evan Kitzmiller from Illinois. He was instantly transported to Northwestern University Hospital where, despite the best efforts of the doctors involved, he was pronounced dead.

While no cause of death has yet to be announced, the festival released the following statement: “We are saddened to learn of the death of an individual who attended Lollapalooza on Sunday. The individual’s family and loved ones are in our thoughts during this difficult time. We have no further information at this time.”

The festival took place on Chicago’s Grant Park over the weekend and welcomed headline sets from The Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, the Weeknd and Bruno Mars.
