‘Wuthering Heights’ trailer revealed as Charli XCX confirms new music for the soundtrack

The trailer for Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights has been revealed, along with confirmation that Charli XCX will be contributing original songs towards the film.

In the movie, Margot Robbie stars as the lead character of Catherine Earnshaw, opposite Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, who are both seen passionately kissing each other at various points in the trailer.

This was undercut by the distinctive autotuned voice of Chali XCX, who sings the lyric “Fall in love again and again,” before it is revealed that the Brat singer will be performing a selection of original songs as part of the Wuthering Heights soundtrack.

It comes alongside the fact that Anthony Willis, who also previously worked on the soundtracks for Fennel’s two previous feature films, will also be providing the score for the movie.

As the cinematic world gears up towards the arrival of Wuthering Heights in February next year, possible excitement for the film has been somewhat squandered by negative reviews that have already started filtering through on the movie based on test screenings.

This comes in contrast to Fennell’s previous two filmic efforts, Promising Young Woman in 2020 and Saltburn in 2023, both of which enhanced her reputation. Robbie has produced all three of the director’s films through her company LuckyChap, while Elordi starred as the character Felix Catton in Saltburn

Alongside the two lead actors, the rest of the ensemble cast includes the likes of Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton, Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, and Adolescence star Owen Cooper as Young Heathcliff.

Previously, Elordi has heaped praise on his young co-star, calling him a “tremendous actor” before adding, “He’s a rock star. He’s brilliant and he’s intimidating.”

Wuthering Heights is set to hit cinemas on February 14th, 2026.
