Wunderhorse cancel set at TRNSMT due to illness
Wunderhorse have pulled out of their performance at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow due to illness.
The group, whose second album Midas arrived in 2024, were due to play the Main Stage of the Scottish festival on July 12th, but they have now been replaced by Miles Kane on the line-up.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Wunderhorse explained: “Due to ongoing band illness, we’re unable to play TRNSMT on Saturday. Sorry to miss you, we will be back. WH x”.
On July 12th, Biffy Clyro will return to Glasgow Green to headline TRNSMT following performances from Fontaines DC, The Kooks, Inhaler, Sigrid, Miles Kane, Jake Bugg, Underworld and many more.
50 Cent is topping the bill at TRNSMT on July 11th and the festival will also host acts including Wet Leg, whose new album Moisturizer is released today, The Script, Schoolboy Q, Jamie Webster, and Confidence Man.
Meanwhile, Snow Patrol will headline on July 13th and appear alongside Gracie Abrams, Jade, Myles Smith, The Lathums, and Shed Seven.
Wunderhorse have a headline set at Deer Shed Festival in North Yorkshire next on their agenda on July 25th, before playing Truck in Oxfordshire on July 26th. They then head to North America for a headline tour.
Last month, they performed a memorable set on The Park Stage at Glastonbury in front of a huge crowd which came less than a month after the biggest headline show of their career at Alexandra Palace as they continue to ride the success of Midas.
Speaking to Far Out last year, the band said of their growth as an outfit on their second album: “Usually, the normal thing is to make the second album sound bigger, kind of more produced and elevate it more to stand out in the industry, but we wanted to get away from the production on the first record and make it a bit more like an accurate representation of how we sounded live.”
