Wes Anderson is releasing a wallpaper collection

As Wes Anderson turns 50 next week and, in celebration, Murals Wallpaper have created a liveable wallpaper collection inspired by his unique set designs within his films.

Known for his meticulous eye for detail when it comes to design, you can now mimic the whimsical film favourites in your own home with this new wallpaper.

There are a range of designs to choose from, the ‘Suzy’ is particularly brilliant and has symmetrical butterflies giving a nature feel to the room. This vintage paper evokes the themes of “curiosity and exploration” from the film Moonrise Kingdom.

Or you could choose the ‘Agatha’ which gives the effect of art-deco wood paneling from the mid-century illusion from The Grand Budapest Hotel.

There is also the ‘Margot’ tiki-style, the clash of green leaves and orange tigers will leave your mesmerised. The various designs will give any house a quirky twist.

As the iconic director moves into his 50s this is the perfect present for the man who has it all. Anderson is currently working on his 10th feature film. The film, which has been described as “a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in 20th-century Paris and centres on three storylines,” now boasts quite the star-studded line-up.

Here’s an example of some of the work:
